EXORDIUM 4.0, the flagship event of IEEE SB GEC Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram was successfully conducted from 17th to 19th October 2025, bringing together students and professionals for three unforgettable days of innovation, learning and collaboration. As IEEE SB GECBH proudly commemorated its 20th year of excellence, Exordium 4.0 was designed to reflect the Student Branch's remarkable journey and its commitment to fostering technical excellence and community engagement.

In celebration of this milestone, the Student Branch successfully organized 20 pre-events leading up to Exordium 4.0, creating excitement and encouraging active participation from students. The pre-event series commenced with Kick Off 6.0, an engaging induction program for freshers featuring five interactive tasks aimed at introducing newcomers to the vibrant IEEE community. This was followed by a diverse lineup of events, including Excelvate, Luminex, Digital Derby, Enigma Odyssey, Puzzlathon, Pixel Persona, Git It Right, Spectrum Showdown, Best Engineer 11, Cube Clash, BotXplore, Guess Who?, BlendCraft, HackAware, Logic Craft, Pixel Perfect, Cognitionis 5.0, TechBid, and CircuitX. Each event was thoughtfully curated to challenge participants' technical knowledge, creativity and problem-solving skills.

The three-day flagship event officially commenced with a grand Inaugural Ceremony, graced by Prof. Nandan S, Secretary, IEEE India Council, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony began with the Code of Ethics delivered by Mr. Sangeeth Sankar, Treasurer, IEEE SB GECBH followed by the Welcome Address by Ms. Keerthana Mohan, Vice Chair, IEEE SB GECBH and the Presidential Address by Dr. Shamna H. R, Branch Counsellor, IEEE SB GECBH, who highlighted the role of Exordium in fostering innovation and collaboration among students. In his inaugural address, Prof. Nandan S encouraged participants to embrace emerging technologies and lifelong learning. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr. Rahul M. S, Joint Secretary, IEEE SB GECBH, officially marking the commencement of Exordium 4.0.

Following the inauguration, the audience was treated to a graceful semi-classical dance performance by the Dance Club of GEC Barton Hill. This was followed by an engaging ice-breaking session Connect & Converse, led by Neeraj Ipe, Abhirami Chandramouli, and Devanarayanan S V. Filled with interactive games, and networking opportunities, the session successfully fostered meaningful connections among participants.

The second day of Exordium 4.0 began with an Industrial Visit to the Kochuveli Industrial Hub, offering participants valuable exposure to various industrial practices. In the afternoon, participants were divided into two batches to simultaneously take part in Final Destination: The Pursuit, a thrilling campus-wide treasure hunt that tested their teamwork and problem-solving skills, and Nirmithi, a technical expo showcasing innovative projects by students of GECBH, with contributions from various technical societies, Student Branch Chapters and even participations from other colleges, highlighting their creativity and engineering expertise. The day concluded on a high note with Melora, a spectacular musical night organized in collaboration with the Music Club and Mystique Fashion Club of GECBH, providing participants with an evening of entertainment, music, and celebration.

The final day focused on technical engagement through two hands-on workshops. Virtuverse, a VR workshop, was led by Ujwel C, where participants gained practical insights into VR development. Simultaneously, Aeroverse, a drone workshop led by S. Adithya, introduced participants to the fundamentals of drone technology.

Adding further excitement to the final day, participants were divided into groups of twenty and rotated through five Society and Affinity Group events, ensuring that every group experienced each activity. These included Cyber Conquest by the IEEE WIE AG, RiddleXcape by IEEE SIGHT, Lock'd in Lokah by the IEEE RAS SBC, Rise of Dementors by the IEEE Computer Society SBC, and Tick, Tick Boom!, jointly hosted by the IEEE AP-S and MTT-S SBCs. These events offered participants unique opportunities to engage in technical challenges and interactive learning.

The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Prof. Manoj B S, Chair, IEEE Kerala Section as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also marked by the presence of Dr. R. Sujithkumar, Group Director, Propulsion Research Group, Dr. Shamna H R, Branch Counsellor, IEEE SB GECBH, Ms. Hridya A S, Mentor, IEEE SB GECBH and Mr. Goutham Rajesh, Past Chair, IEEE SB GECBH, whose inspiring words encouraged participants to continue pursuing innovation, leadership, and professional excellence. During the ceremony, prizes were distributed to the winners of Exordium 4.0, Treasure Hunt and Kick Off 6.0, recognizing their outstanding performances. Mr. Kedar Kamalraj, Chair, IEEE SB GECBH, presented an overview of Exordium 4.0, reflecting on the event's highlights and achievements. The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Athira L, Secretary, IEEE SB GEC Barton Hill, acknowledging the collective efforts of everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The celebrations concluded with Amora, a serene candlelight dinner that provided participants with an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable journey of Exordium 4.0, celebrate new friendships, and cherish the memories created over the three-day event.

As the Student Branch celebrated two decades of inspiring future engineers and innovators, Exordium 4.0 marked yet another milestone in its legacy of excellence, leaving participants with lasting memories, valuable learning experiences, and renewed enthusiasm for the future.
